About the Tech Pricing Team
The Tech Pricing team aims to support and implement Ornikar's insurance pricing policy.
It is responsible for the design, evolution, and maintenance of the pricing engine. It must ensure that this engine meets numerous requirements, whether legal or performance-related.
As part of new projects in the insurance sector, we are looking for a new person to support Ornikar's ambitions and growth.
We are looking for a Software Engineer on Python
You will play a key role in a small team where you will collaborate closely with the pricing team, composed of actuaries, as well as with other Ornikar tech teams that consume our API.
Your missions
- Design and develop new features exposed by APIs or Jobs
- Participate in product specifications for new features
- Collaborate closely with the actuarial team and be able to dive deep into insurance specifics
- Collaborate with other Insurance squads, understand their responsibilities, and collectively address customer issues
- Be proactive: on practices, technological choices, and internal tooling
- Ensure code quality and compliance with all our guidelines
- Responsible for writing unit and functional tests to create resilient systems

- Interview with Olivier your future manager: an in-depth discussion about the position, your experiences, and the team's challenges.

Your experience and skills
- You have a minimum of 4-5 years of experience on complex back-end / software projects
- You master Python and its typing system
- You have solid SQL foundations
- You have already designed and deployed REST APIs, from modeling to test coverage
- You have a good understanding of concurrency and parallelism concepts in Python
- You are familiar with agile methods
- You have a strong conviction and initial experience with LLMs (particularly Claude)
- It's a plus if you have already worked with FastAPI and pydantic libraries
