About the Role

We’re looking for a passionate Software Engineer – QA (L2) to join our agile testing team. You’ll collaborate with developers, product owners, and analysts to ensure our applications meet the highest quality standards. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys both manual and automated testing, thrives in a fast-paced agile environment, and is eager to grow in their testing career. This is a full-on-site vacancy situated in Centurion.

Minimum Requirements

Education & Certification

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems / IT / Computer Science, or relevant qualification.
• Software Testing certification or equivalent industry experience.

Experience

• 3–5 years software testing experience.
• 1–2 years automation testing experience.
• Solid knowledge of Agile methodology and SQL.
• Hands-on experience with:
  • Selenium (required)
  • Java (required)
  • PHP (advantageous)
  • JMeter (required)
  • Jira (advantageous)

Duties and Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute manual and automated test scripts to validate system functionality.
• Conduct functional, system, regression, load, and performance testing using tools like Selenium and JMeter.
• Collaborate in Agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives).
• Identify, record, and track defects using Jira or similar tools.
• Ensure all testing aligns with Agile SDLC and internal standards.
• Mentor junior testers and share technical knowledge across the QA team.
• Research and implement new tools, frameworks, and automation strategies.
