We are therefore looking to fill the position of Software Engineer – Security (m/f/d) as a hybrid role at our Heimertingen, Gilching, and Berlin locations with immediate effect.

blackned is a high-tech software manufacturer and specialist for mission-critical communication systems. As a medium-sized company, we offer services and products tailored to our customers, which significantly differentiate us from our competitors. Our team consists of numerous highly qualified IT and communication professionals. The approximately 200 employees work at six different locations in the DACH region.

Your Tasks

• Software development and maintenance of our products in a military context using modern methods and tools
• Participation in an agile software development team
• Communication and coordination with the Product Owner in the security environment and other stakeholders to understand technical requirements
• Generation of software solutions for specific customer requirements
• Support in carrying out software verification
• Adherence to the norms/standards specified for the task

Your Knowledge / Experience

• Completed degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, a comparable STEM subject, or a comparable technical vocational training (e.g., Fachinformatiker)
• Several years of professional experience in software development
• Basic experience with various tools (e.g., JIRA, Jenkins, Azure, Git) from the software development area
• In-depth knowledge in one of the following areas:
  • Object-oriented programming languages
  • Knowledge in Java network programming
  • Knowledge in Java security programming
  • OR
  • Android app and service development
  • Knowledge in Java network programming
  • Knowledge in Java security programming
  • OR
  • In the area of software development with C
• In-depth knowledge of the Linux kernel and its security functions
• Analytical skills and ability for self-organization
• Strong quality awareness
• Experience in agile development methods (e.g., Scrum, Kanban)
• Solution-oriented thinking and willingness for professional development
• High customer and service orientation (conflict resolution competence)
• Teamwork skills
• Very good German and good English skills, both written and spoken

Due to our cooperation with customers in the critical infrastructure sector, a security check according to the Security Screening Act (SÜG) may be required.
