Your Role

For our Hybrid Cloud Platforms service field within the Tribe Compute and Storage Services, we are looking for you to join us full-time, starting with 30 hours per week, as a Software Engineer Systems (m/f/d) in Karlsruhe, Munich, or Münster. Your role is assigned to the Chapter/Squad Server Management Windows & Hyper-V. Here, you will work collaboratively with 14 colleagues across different locations and with diverse interfaces. Please note: On-call duty is required for this position.

Responsibilities

• You will be responsible for the stable operation, lifecycle management, and continuous development of the Azure Arc agent for our large-scale Windows Server landscape in hybrid on-premise and cloud environments.
• You will automate central operational processes such as patch management, compliance checks, and agent rollouts, reducing manual effort through standardization, scripting, and reusable operational components.
• You will analyze ticket, monitoring, and log data, identify recurring error patterns, and derive automated countermeasures and self-healing mechanisms from them.
• You will develop and integrate AI-supported assistance and bot solutions to support IT operations, for example, for ticket classification, incident analysis, and providing solution suggestions.
• You will collaborate across locations and departments with cloud, security, and operations teams, and integrate Azure Arc-based operating models into existing release, change, and approval processes.

Requirements

• You hold a degree in (Business) Informatics or a comparable qualification, along with several years of relevant professional experience in IT operations.
• You possess in-depth knowledge of operating Windows Server environments and hybrid IT architectures, with practical experience in Azure-based platform and operating models.
• You have very good knowledge of Microsoft Azure, particularly Azure Arc, Azure Monitor, and Update Management functions, and you confidently use PowerShell for automation.
• Ideally, you have experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform).
• You work in a structured, analytical, and solution-oriented manner, applying methodical approaches to sustainably improve operational processes.
• You are characterized by teamwork, strong communication skills, a sense of responsibility, a willingness to learn, quality awareness, and an independent work style.
