Software Engineer (w/m) Integration & Inbetriebnahme – Freelance / Interim

For a project with our client, we are looking for an experienced Software Engineer (m/f) for the integration, commissioning, and further development of a complex software system in a technical environment.

Responsibilities

• Definition and integration of the system into customer-owned and external systems, e.g., diagnostic systems
• Commissioning of the software in test environments such as Hardware-in-the-Loop systems (HiL) and on the live system
• Creation of system requirements for hardware and software
• Coordination with internal departments and contact person for documentation, system and function descriptions
• Maintenance of software releases and software bills of materials
• Takeover of EOL management and series maintenance of the software
• Ensuring compatibility with normative requirements
• Support of training and service

Qualifications

• Completed studies in engineering or natural sciences or comparable qualification
• Relevant experience in, ideally model-based, software development
• Experience in requirements engineering and software testing is an advantage
• Knowledge of sensor technology, control technology, network technology, CAN, or security is an advantage
• Experience with SCADE, PTC RV&S / Codebeamer, DOORS, or Jira is desirable
• Good English skills, both written and spoken
• Willingness to undertake occasional business trips
