Software Engineering Lead - Full - Stack

About the Role

We are seeking a Software Engineering Lead to guide a team of 3-5 full‑stack engineers with 3‑7 years of experience. This is a full‑time, hands‑on leadership role for an experienced professional with 8‑12 years of industry experience and 3+ years of experience managing and mentoring a team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise across both frontend and backend development, with the ability to design, build, and deliver scalable, high‑quality software solutions that support Quantum's AI initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of 3-5 full‑stack engineers, ensuring high‑quality code delivery and adherence to best practices.
• Actively contribute to the codebase across frontend and backend components.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including data scientists, product managers, and business stakeholders.
• Architect, design, and implement scalable and maintainable full‑stack applications.
• Ensure best practices in software engineering, including code reviews, testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Drive technical innovation and adopt modern frameworks, tools, and methodologies.
• Participate in project planning, estimation, and delivery management.
• Maintain responsibility for technical quality and timely delivery of digital solutions.

Requirements

• 8-12 years of professional software engineering experience, with recent experience in leading small engineering teams.
• Strong proficiency in both frontend (React, Angular, or similar) and backend (Node.js, Python, Java, or similar) technologies.
• Hands‑on experience with REST APIs, microservices, and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
• Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases and data modeling.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
