Responsibilities

Lead a software development team and drive the evolution of existing legacy platforms toward more modern, scalable, and highly available solutions
Act as a key interface between engineering, operations, and other internal stakeholders (IT, compliance, procurement, etc.)
Coordinate delivery priorities, releases, and technical initiatives across multiple stakeholders
Contribute to the longer-term technical direction of the systems you own
Foster a healthy engineering culture with a focus on quality, collaboration, and knowledge sharing

Qualifications

Solid background in software development with hands-on coding experience
5+ years of experience in a team leadership or engineering management role (not necessarily large-scale executive leadership)
Experience working with systems that require high availability
Good understanding of software architecture and system design decisions
Experience working with cross-functional teams and delivering complex technical projects
Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust with engineers and stakeholders alike
Structured thinking with a practical, delivery-oriented mindset
Fluent German (C1 or higher), some English is a plus
