Project

For the setup of a new IT Risk Management application, a Java Backend Developer (Expert Level, 8-12 years) is sought. The focus is on developing a data-driven backend platform in a DevOps environment that integrates, transforms, and provides data from various source systems via APIs for BI & Analytics applications. Frontend tasks are limited to a support UI.

Responsibilities

• Development and operation of a new Java-based backend application in the DevOps model
• Integration of data from various source and lead systems
• Data cleansing, transformation, and mapping to standardized metric data models
• Development and maintenance of REST APIs for data provision
• Close collaboration with Business Engineering and business departments
• Support for simple frontend functionalities (Angular/TypeScript, Support UI)
• Ensuring quality, stability, and performance in productive operation

Optional Tasks

• Integration and adaptation of standard software into existing system landscapes
• Evaluation of new technologies and tools for platform optimization
• Participation in cross-departmental projects and initiatives

Requirements

• Several years of experience (8 - 12 years) as a Software Engineer / Fullstack Developer
• Focus on backend engineering with Java in enterprise systems
• Experience in data-driven or integrative system landscapes
• Very good knowledge of Java (Enterprise Backend Development)
• Experience with Spring Boot or comparable frameworks
• Experience in API development and system integration
• Proficient use of relational databases (ideally PostgreSQL)
• Experience with data processing, transformation, or data-driven architectures
• Experience in the DevOps environment (CI/CD, combined operation & development)
• Basic knowledge of Angular / TypeScript for Support UI
