Software Integration Engineer (m/w/d)

Your Role in Our Team

• Integration of software solutions into existing and new machine and plant environments
• Configuration of the software for correct recording, processing, and use of machine and process data
• Implementation, connection, and support of interfaces and standard protocols such as OPCUA, PackML, REST APIs, and MQTT
• Development and support of Java-based backend components
• Conception, implementation, and maintenance of data architectures and database connections
• Analysis, optimization, and assurance of stable communication structures between Level 1-3 (Shopfloor, MES, IT/OT)
• Use and integration of AI tools for data analysis, process optimization, and automation
• Close collaboration with interdisciplinary teams as well as external partners and technology providers

Your Profile

We are looking for an analytically thinking and structured personality with a hands-on mentality. You are open to new technologies, especially in the field of AI, and communicate confidently at the interface between IT and production. Your problem-solving skills and your team spirit make you a valuable support in interdisciplinary environments.

• Completed apprenticeship or degree in computer science, automation technology, electrical engineering, or a comparable qualification
• Several years of experience in the integration of software solutions in industrial plants
• Sound knowledge of industrial communication protocols (e.g., OPC UA, MQTT, REST)
• Experience with databases (SQL/NoSQL) and data modeling
• Good knowledge of backend development, ideally with Java
• Willingness to undertake international travel for customer projects
• Very good communication skills in German and English
