Software PLC Engineer – R&D

Your tasks

• Participate in the analysis of project needs and contribute to the definition of software requirements, including inputs from Market, Production, and R&D.
• Collaborate with HMI, process control, mechanical, and electrical teams to define specifications for complex PLC and real-time software components.
• Develop, test, and optimize PLC and real-time software applications to meet functional and performance requirements.
• Maintain and update technical documentation and software specifications throughout the development lifecycle.
• Support fast prototyping activities and contribute to sprint planning in collaboration with the Software Component Owners.

Your profile

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Automation Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Electronic Engineering.
• At least 1 year of experience in PLC and/or real-time software development (e.g., C, C++, Structured Text).
• Experience with simulation and modeling tools (e.g., Matlab/Simulink).
• Basic knowledge of analog and digital electronics.
• Experience in the machine tools industry and ISO programming is a plus.
• Fluent in Italian. English level B2 or higher.
