Software Quality Assurance Engineer

Whiteboard Federal is looking for a talented Software Quality Assurance Engineer to thrive in a dynamic environment. In this role, you will collaborate with multiple project teams across various platforms and technologies. Your responsibilities will include designing, developing, testing, and implementing software systems through object-oriented design principles. You will also create and manage both automation and manual test scripts to ensure our applications meet all specifications.

Primary Responsibilities

• Developing test validation scripts using designated programming languages such as Java and Python.
• Demonstrating a solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and various testing methodologies.
• Utilizing automated testing tools, including Selenium, Katalon Studio, or Cypress, effectively.
• Executing and refining automation processes to ensure successful test execution.
• Analyzing requirements to inform design decisions.
• Testing both front-end and back-end applications to ensure functionality.
• Employing scripting languages as needed.
• Working with Unix/Linux and Windows operating systems.
• Documenting and communicating issues discovered during testing cycles.

Basic Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree or equivalent experience.
• Professional experience in a technical field.
• Experience in both automated and manual testing.
• Strong communication skills to liaise with partners and non-technical users.

Desired Skills

• Familiarity with Model View Controller (MVC) applications, preferably with Spring MVC or similar frameworks.
• Experience with diverse testing types including functional, user acceptance, usability, automated, performance, and SOAP testing.
• Knowledge of project management tools such as Jira or Confluence.
