Overview

With deep capabilities in Pega-based workflow automation and decisioning, we help organizations across Healthcare, Telecom, Retail, and BFSI reinvent how they operate. We are seeking a Lead System Architect (LSA) to join our Pega practice. This role requires a visionary who can architect complex, high-scale solutions while providing the technical leadership necessary to grow our global Pega practice and position UST as a premium implementation partner.

Position Summary

The LSA is the authority on Pega architecture and delivery excellence within the organization. You will be responsible for defining the technical roadmap for our practice, ensuring all client implementations adhere to Pega Guardrails, and leading the transition from traditional workflows to Agentic AI and GenAI-led architectures. As the technical face of UST’s Pega practice, you will engage with client C‑suite stakeholders to provide architectural oversight, drive innovation, and mentor a global team of certified architects.

Responsibilities

Practice Leadership & Governance

• Define and enforce technical standards, best practices, and the ideal architecture practices across all UST Pega engagements.
• Oversee the Pega Center of Excellence (CoE) to ensure project health and adherence to Pega Express methodology.
• Stay at the forefront of Pega’s product roadmap, including Pega GenAI Blueprint and Agentic AI, to build cutting‑edge service offerings.
• Mentor and grow the internal talent pool, driving certification paths for CSA, CSSA, and LSA cohorts.

Architecture & Solution Design

• Serve as the primary Lead System Architect for large‑scale, complex transformations, ensuring scalability and performance.
• Lead high‑quality discovery and design sessions to map complex business problems to robust, reusable Pega solutions.
• Review and approve enterprise‑level architectural designs to minimize technical debt and ensure future‑proof upgrades.

Strategic Sales Support & Delivery Assurance

• Collaborate with the Business Development team to provide technical support during the qualification and proposal stages.
• Lead the creation of technical proposals, Proof of Concepts (PoCs), and solution estimates with internal pre‑sales teams.
• Help handle critical client escalations, providing deep technical troubleshooting and course correction for high‑stakes projects.

Qualifications & Skills

• Certification: Active Pega Certified Lead System Architect (CLSA) is mandatory.
• Experience: 12+ years in IT services, with at least 8 years dedicated to Pega implementations and 3+ years in a practice leadership or chief architect role.
• Technical Breadth: Expert knowledge of Pega Infinity, Pega Cloud, and integration patterns (REST, Kafka, etc.).
• Industry Knowledge: Proven track record in Healthcare, Telecom, Retail, or BFSI.
• Leadership: Strong experience in building and managing technical teams in a global delivery model.
