Stelfox is supporting a SaaS provider as they look to expand their European presence from Dublin.
The company provide a real-time third party risk intelligence platform to enhance security and regulatory compliance for enterprise clients across the financial services, healthcare, Insurance and technology sectors.
The CTO is looking to hire a Software / Solutions / Enterprise architect who loves solving problems by designing systems / solutions from proof of concept right through to writing first code in early phase before handing over and showcasing to the engineering team.
This role will report into the CTO and work close on new R&D, innovation to can lead to new systems, enhanced improvement of processes, tooling, workflows or introducing new initiatives like AI (GenAI & Agentic AI).
Responsibilities
As an architect, you will have:
- 10+ years in software engineering, with at least 5 years in Software / Solution / Enterprise architecture.
- Experience designing, architecting and coding systems/applications from proof of concept/early stage exploration through to coding, testing and deploying into a pipeline in phase 1 for the team to take on and adapt to.
- Experience with Multi-tenant, Cloud-first architecture and microservices approach.
- Define architecture standards, frameworks and best practices who introducing new ideas and solutions.
- Hands-on coding experience with Python or backend languages/framework - (Note - we are open to code agnostic architects who are not afraid to move between languages or general tooling).
- Hands-on experience with Docker / Kubernetes, CI/CD, DevOps pipelines and API management.
- Strong stakeholder management and ability to collaborate and communication your ideas and solutions to the wider engineering & product organisation.
Qualifications
For transparency, this role requires:
- Rolling your sleeves up and not be afraid to wear many hats in the pursuit of bringing good ideas, design & solutions to life within the team.
- Being comfortable sharing your knowledge plus act as a technical mentor to the engineering team.
- Being curious and fully embrace learning new skills for the benefit of the organisation (like exploring what are good AI code assistants that can be useful to the team or ways to automate workflows internally to drive outcomes for the business, or LLMs or orchestration frameworks if consideration the creation of LLM-powered applications).
Note - coding will be expected in this role and there is a live coding assessment as part of the interview process, so for full clarity, this is not a high level architecture role that only focuses on presenting slide decks on architectural diagrams, this is an end to end role of solving a problem via both the design and execution of the first working concept or PoC.
