Senior Full Stack Engineer (Remote)

Albert Bow are working closely with a product-led business who are building and evolving a high-performance, enterprise-grade platform used at scale. As a Founding Solutions Engineer, you will join an established team working on a production-critical trading system that has been live and continuously improving for a number of years. With this in mind, you will be designing and building applications with three core principles in mind: performance, reliability, and maintainability.

Role Overview

We’re seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer (Remote) to join their engineering team. In this role, you’ll focus on building and enhancing a complex, real-time platform.

You’ll work closely with engineers, product stakeholders, and platform teams to deliver features that have real-world impact. The role is perfect for someone who enjoys React, Node.js, and modern full stack development, and who takes pride in owning features end-to-end while contributing to high-quality, maintainable systems.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain full stack applications across a modern TypeScript-based platform.
• Design and implement new features while optimising existing functionality.
• Collaborate with platform and DevOps engineers to improve build pipelines, observability, and system reliability.
• Ensure applications are performant, secure, and scalable in a real-time environment.
• Participate in all stages of the software development lifecycle: planning, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.

Required Skills and Experience

• Strong experience with TypeScript, including both Node.js and React.
• Proven track record of building and maintaining production-grade systems.
• Experience working within complex, distributed or real-time environments.
• Solid understanding of modern development practices, including testing and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, and observability platforms is beneficial.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
• Strong focus on ownership, delivery, and writing high-quality code.
