A nationally recognized Pacific Northwest law firm is seeking a highly skilled Legal Software Application Specialist and Trainer to join its Seattle office.
This position serves as a key liaison between legal professionals and technology systems, supporting the firm’s continued adoption and optimization of legal software tools. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering technology training programs for attorneys and staff, onboarding new employees, and improving user efficiency through effective software utilization. Responsibilities also include installation, configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and end-user support for a variety of legal applications to ensure reliable system performance and strong user adoption.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and update training materials, user documentation, and on-demand tutorials in partnership with software consultants and internal teams.
- Deliver training sessions in person, virtually, and in hybrid formats for both new hires and ongoing employee development.
- Serve as the subject matter expert for core legal and business software applications.
- Educate staff on approved AI-powered tools and technologies.
- Provide application support, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and issue resolution for end users.
- Collaborate with legal practice groups to identify technology needs and promote best practices for software utilization.
- Assist attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants with document production, templates, and software-related issues.
- Participate in testing, configuring, upgrading, and maintaining approved software applications alongside IT team members.
- Coordinate with software vendors regarding support, training opportunities, and technology enhancements.
- Provide product feedback to software providers to support ongoing improvements and feature development.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in technology training, applications support, or legal technology consulting.
- Strong knowledge of server-based applications and web technologies.
- Hands-on experience with AI-enabled tools and platforms.
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; prior law firm experience strongly preferred.
- Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to simplify technical concepts for non-technical users.
