For the "AIR SIGINT Embedded SW" department at the Ulm site, we are looking for a Software System Architect (f/m/d) as soon as possible. The department is responsible for the definition and development of complex software systems for airborne reconnaissance. In the role of Software System Architect (f/m/d), you will be responsible for definition and development, as well as supporting the integration and acceptance of a software subsystem for airborne reconnaissance systems. You will develop solutions with interdisciplinary teams, taking into account costs, quality, and time.

Responsibilities

• Analysis of customer and system requirements, including their transfer into technical concepts for embedded software solutions in the SIGINT area
• Creation of SW Use Cases for airborne SW reconnaissance systems and derivation of software requirements for the involved components
• Creation and documentation of SW architectures for complex distributed SW systems, including detailed definition of SW interfaces
• Technical responsibility for the implementation of complex SW subsystems and technical coordination of all necessary SW engineering activities, including development activities by subcontractors
• Practical support in technical analyses of problems occurring during integration, verification, and testing phases
• Active participation in customer workshops within development projects, including presentation of complex technical contexts
• Technical evaluation of make-or-buy decisions regarding software components
• Mentoring and coaching of software development teams

Qualifications

• Completed studies in communications engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, mathematics, physics, or comparable
• Many years of practical experience and sound knowledge as a SW developer and/or SW architect, particularly of complex distributed systems in challenging development projects
• Assertiveness, sense of responsibility, and motivation skills
• Analytical thinking and a high degree of commitment
• Experience with MatLab
• Extensive experience in DOORS and Rhapsody Architect
• Knowledge in the area of Signals Intelligence (SIGINT)
• Fluent German and English skills
