Software Systems Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Software Systems Engineer to support infrastructure engineering, DevOps automation, and platform operations initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Terraform, Ansible, and OpenShift/Kubernetes, with hands-on experience managing hybrid cloud and on-prem environments. This role focuses on infrastructure automation, CI/CD and GitOps workflows, observability, and secure platform operations in a regulated enterprise environment.

Requirements

• 5–8+ years of experience in software systems engineering, DevOps, or infrastructure engineering
• 2+ years of hands-on experience with Terraform, Ansible, or other IaC/automation platforms
• Strong experience with OpenShift and Kubernetes administration
• Experience supporting hybrid cloud and on-prem infrastructure environments
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD and GitOps tools such as ArgoCD, Jenkins, or GitLab
• Proficiency in Python, Bash, or PowerShell scripting
• Experience with observability tools including Prometheus and Grafana
• Strong understanding of RBAC, SSO, and secrets management
• Knowledge of networking, storage, DNS, and infrastructure services
• Experience in utility or regulated industries preferred
• USC or GC only

Responsibilities

• Design and automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform
• Manage configuration and deployment workflows using Ansible
• Administer and support OpenShift/Kubernetes container platforms
• Build and maintain CI/CD and GitOps automation pipelines
• Ensure consistency across cloud and on-prem infrastructure environments
• Monitor infrastructure and platform health using Prometheus and Grafana
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure and container platform issues
• Implement security controls including RBAC and secrets management
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to improve automation workflows
• Support full-stack infrastructure and platform operations initiatives
