As Team Lead, you will own the full safety software lifecycle and guide a team of skilled engineers to deliver high-quality, safety-critical software. You’ll mentor team members developing and integrating safety algorithms for perception applications and ensure the software’s high performance and reliability. You’ll also coordinate releases, testing, verification, and documentation of the complete safety software stack.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and grow a software engineering team developing safety-critical applications in modern C++
• Driving the V-Model development lifecycle, ensuring compliance with safety and cybersecurity requirements and standards
• Software verification, from requirements definition to test execution and reporting.
• Ensure profound documentation throughout the lifecycle: including requirements, design, test instructions, and changelogs
• Coordinate and manage releases of our safety software in collaboration with other teams
• Responsible for the team’s short- and long-term activities, planning for allocated deliverables, ensuring deadlines and quality
• Driving detailed technical planning and coordination with project management and system leads
• Foster a system oriented, quality oriented and strong safety and cybersecurity culture inside Embotech

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics or a related field
• Proficiency in modern C++
• 3+ years of experience leading software engineering teams
• Strong track record in developing software according to the V-Model in safety-critical environments
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes
• Excellent leadership and communication skills in English
• Familiarity with safety standards such as ISO 26262, ISO 61508, or ISO 13849 is a plus
• Experience with perception systems and sensors (e.g., LiDAR) is a plus
• Cybersecurity knowledges is a plus
• Knowledge of real-time and distributed systems is a plus
• German is a plus
