The ESS division of Saft strengthens the company's ability to serve the global energy storage market and support the transition to renewable energies.

Role

As part of the development of a control-command platform for battery energy storage systems (BESS), we are looking for a Software Technical Leader.

As a true technical expert, you will be responsible for the overall consistency of the software solution. In this capacity, you will define the architecture and technological choices that meet the system's performance, security, and maintainability requirements, then support development and validation tests and system integration.

Technical Context

The platform consists of the following elements:

• A main controller
• A SCADA
• Ethernet equipment (switch, router) and a ring network.

The main controller is an embedded real-time Linux system (Yocto type) running on an industrial PC (Intel or ARM), with the following main characteristics:

• Communication with other controllers via Mod Bus TCP, IEC-104 protocols and HTTPS API
• Inter-process communication in Zero MQ
• Equipment and network link redundancy
• Integration of control algorithms designed in Model Based Design (Simulink) by another team
• Embedded web services
• Embedded databases
• Cybersecurity: application of the IEC 62443 standard

Qualifications

• Bac +5: engineering degree or equivalent.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in industrial software development, including confirmed experience in technical leadership.
• Good command of embedded Linux environments, industrial architectures, and protocols.
• Ability to coordinate multicultural teams and converge technical choices in an international context.
• Proficiency in English is essential.
