Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Software Test Engineer who will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and functionality of our products. You will work closely with other project members to determine optimal testing methods and ensure that product requirements are met through both manual and automated testing solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Interact with other project members to determine the best methods for testing products, systems, or components.
  • Read, analyze, and understand detailed specifications or product requirements.
  • Define and implement test methods and develop comprehensive test plans, including test case scenarios.
  • Execute both manual tests and automated scripts, logging defects in a problem tracking database.
  • Develop automated test solutions to validate existing and new product functionality.
  • Develop and/or utilize existing testing APIs.
  • Identify functional problems and suggest effective solutions.
  • Report regularly on testing status and issues found to the product and management teams.
  • Interpret and review test results with product and management team members.
  • Provide initial time estimates and planning for your own assignments.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in C and C++ for software development.
  • Experience in software test engineering with full-stack capabilities.
  • Strong skills in SQL and Unix/Linux environments.
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in software testing.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience working closely with customers to solve problems and execute testing.
  • Proficient in both manual and automated testing methodologies.

Work Environment

This role is based on-site in Louisville. The work environment supports collaboration with a dedicated team, providing opportunities for professional growth. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Louisville, KY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $45.00/hr.
