About AVL MTC Motortestcenter AB
AVL MTC Motortestcenter AB offers a job in Sweden (SE) as a Software Verification & Validation Engineer (OBC).
We are facing an expansive phase and have several exciting assignments and projects coming up in the area of Verification & Validation of Onboard Chargers (OBC). Therefore, we are now looking for you who want to be part of shaping the future of electrified mobility.
As a Software Engineer within V&V for OBC, you will have the opportunity to work technically broadly, be part of advanced development environments, and at the same time contribute to our customers receiving safe and high-performance charging systems.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
In this role, you will work broadly with verification and validation of Onboard Chargers (OBC) within various customer projects. You will be an important part of our technical deliveries and work closely with both internal teams and external partners to ensure that our solutions maintain the highest quality.
The work covers the entire chain of test and validation activities – from requirements review and breakdown to test plans, to the execution of functional tests, system tests, and various types of environmental and climate validations. You will work both in a lab environment, in a climate chamber, and in the field, and contribute to the development of test methods, test environments, and automated tests.
A central part of the role is to analyze test results, identify deviations and improvement opportunities, and compile reports and present your recommendations to both technical teams and project organizations. You will collaborate cross-functionally with several competence areas and thus have a coordinating role in many of the assignments.
The role suits you who want to combine practical test work, technical analysis, and collaboration in an environment where new projects and technology solutions are constantly evolving.
YOUR PROFILE:
- At least 4 years of experience in software testing related to OBC
- Bachelor's degree or higher in a technical field, such as Engineering Physics, Vehicle Engineering, Software Engineering, or equivalent
- Experience in requirements breakdown to test plan
- Good knowledge of measurement systems and sensors for software testing
- Programming knowledge in C/C++ or Python
- You have experience with communication protocols such as CAN, CANalyzer, CANoe, or FlexRay.
- HIL experience of systems like dSpace or ETAS
- You have experience working with tools such as INCA, MDA, and MATLAB/Simulink
- Knowledge of standards such as ISO15118, ISO61851, ISO18246
- B driver's license
- Communicate fluently in Swedish and English
Meritorious:
- Experience in coordinating roles or cross-functional work
- Background in electrification or e-mobility
To thrive and succeed in the role, we see that you have an analytical and structured approach, where you can break down complex technical issues and create clarity in both processes and test methodology. You are proactive and self-driven, and take responsibility for driving your work forward while valuing collaboration and actively contributing to the team's common goals.
Since the role involves close contact with both colleagues and customers, you are communicative, relationship-building, and confident in presenting technical results in an easily understandable way. You are a natural problem-solver who thrives in a practical environment where you get to test, analyze, and improve – and you see opportunities even when challenges arise.
We also believe that you have a strong desire to develop and stay updated on new technology. You thrive in a changing environment where priorities can shift, and you have the ability to maintain focus and structure even when multiple tasks are ongoing in parallel.
WE OFFER:
- At AVL, you become part of a global technology company that is at the forefront of development, simulation, and testing in the future of mobility. As the world's largest independent player in the field, with over 12,000 employees internationally, we drive innovation for a greener, safer, and better world of mobility.
- Our focus spans the entire value chain – from early idea and concept phases to industrialization and series production. We work with advanced technologies in electrification, software, autonomous driving, digitalization, and energy-efficient powertrains, helping our customers shape the future of mobility solutions.
- With us, you get a workplace where you can grow, influence, and be part of driving technological development forward – making a real difference for the future of mobility!
