Role
For the R&D department, we are looking for a Software Developer Embedded C/C++ (Linux) (m/f/d) in product development, starting immediately.
The main tasks include programming detector, embedded, and application software, as well as developing new product software for test and operational support.
Responsibilities
- Participation in all phases of new product development and introduction: concept, architecture, documentation, design, prototyping, testing, supplier and customer interface definition, production introduction, production support and optimization, and service support
- Development and maintenance of production software and the production database
- Development of new product software, system software, and test software
- Development and setup of a simulation and test infrastructure to minimize dependency on hardware availability
- Close collaboration with an interdisciplinary team for requirements determination and design
- Ensuring product reliability through close cooperation with suppliers and error analysis of complex electronic/digital imaging systems
- Participation in the selection, qualification, and evaluation of new suppliers (FAI process) in coordination with the respective involved departments (QA & R&D)
- Verification and validation according to the design process, and creation of designs using software development methods to ensure reliability in the product development lifecycle
Requirements
Completed studies in Computer Science / Software Engineering / Technical Computer Science / Embedded Systems / Computer Engineering (Bachelor, Master, Diploma) or comparable qualification, ideally with a focus on: Embedded Software, C/C++, Linux, hardware-near development
Several years of comprehensive professional experience in software programming, software design, and simulation tools is required
Ideal focus: Embedded Software, C/C++, Linux, hardware-near development
Good knowledge in the development of embedded systems, as well as in handling Linux and Windows platforms and network protocols, including sockets, TCP/UDP, IP
Project experience in all project phases
Good written and spoken communication skills in German & English (min. Level B2)
Desired:
- Programming skills in Python, Java, SQL
- Experience working in an ISO-certified environment
