The Resource Development and Alumni Relations department is the central point of contact for personalities, entrepreneurs, foundations, and the TUW community in fulfilling social responsibility and develops strong, long-term relationships for the benefit of TU Wien as a science location. For the further professionalization and expansion of the existing relationship landscape, we are looking for a Software Developer to drive the quality, automation, and scalability of our solutions.
Responsibilities
- New and further development of university-internal applications and modules
- Implementation of software solutions in an agile development process (e.g., Scrum, Kanban)
- Analysis of requirements and transfer into stable, scalable software services
- Integration and further development of RESTful APIs and interfaces
- Quality assurance through automated tests (unit and end-to-end tests)
- Collaboration with internal stakeholders and participation in frontend components
- Participation in cross-divisional and cross-departmental working groups
Qualifications
- Several years of experience in development with Python
- Experience with common Python frameworks (e.g., Flask, Django)
- Knowledge in the development and integration of RESTful APIs
- Experience with relational databases, ideally PostgreSQL
- Interest in backend as well as frontend development
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins) is an advantage
- Understanding of modern software architectures (modularization, MVC, component-based approaches)
- Agile working methods (Scrum, Kanban)
- Analytical, structured, and results-oriented way of working

The classification is made in the usage group IVA according to the collective agreement of the universities and amounts to EUR 3,450.30 gross/month for a weekly employment of 40 hours. Activity-related prior service will be credited.
