About Us

The Office for Information Technology (AIT) is responsible for the automation and IT for the tax administration, as well as the functional lead for IT business processes for supply, remuneration, and allowances for the employees and pensioners of the state.

Your Role

To ensure nationwide uniform tax processing, a large part of the required IT systems are jointly developed and maintained for all federal states (called KONSENS). These are supported and further developed in the IT 42 department. As a Process Developer (m/f/d) including Process Support, you will specialize in conceptualizing and introducing new processes (in IT, technology, or organization) and ensuring during operation that they run efficiently, errors are fixed, and users are supported – from the idea to the ongoing operation of a system or method. This role combines creative new development with operational stability and support.

Responsibilities

• You plan and organize the further digitalization of work processes.
• You plan and realize tasks in automation (e.g., analysis, development, programming, documentation, introduction, deployment, and technical implementation) including Office template management (LibreOffice, Collabora, Microsoft Office etc.),
• Macro programming (VBA).
• Documentation, processing, execution, and monitoring of template updates,
• You work together with federal states, the Ministry of Finance, tax offices, and the IT service provider Dataport.

Qualifications

• A completed university degree (Bachelor's or Diploma [FH]) in IT-related fields (Informatics, Information and Communication Technology, Computer Science, or comparable) or a comparable qualification, such as a completed apprenticeship in the IT technical field (e.g., Fachinformatiker/in [m/f/d]) with approximately five years of professional experience in areas that enable the performance of the described tasks.
• Knowledge of IT solutions such as requirements management, test management, and quality assurance.
• Programming knowledge.
• Experience in software development with Java.
• Experience with the development of web applications with JavaScript / TypeScript, HTML5, CSS.
• German language proficiency C2 according to the European Framework of Reference.
• Knowledge of the processes and tax IT procedures relevant to the area of responsibility.
• Experience with Collabora Online.
• Knowledge of VBA/VB.Net.
