About the role
Job Overview
We are seeking a highly capable, solutions-driven, and technically versatile Solutions Architect whose core responsibility is to identify, evaluate, implement, customise, and optimize enterprise software solutions that improve organisational performance. The ideal candidate will be adept at sourcing best-fit SaaS, ERP, CRM, HRIS, project management, finance, automation, and collaboration tools; configuring them to meet business needs; integrating systems where required; and training internal teams for effective adoption.
Key Responsibilities
Enterprise Software Discovery & Selection
- Research and identify enterprise-grade software solutions aligned to business needs.
- Evaluate tools across functions such as HR, Finance, Operations, Sales, Procurement, Project Management, Customer Service, and Analytics.
- Conduct vendor comparisons, pricing reviews, demos, and proof-of-concept testing.
- Recommend fit-for-purpose systems based on cost, scalability, security, and usability.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies, AI tools, automation platforms, and SaaS innovations.
Solution Architecture & Systems Design
- Analyse business processes and design technology solutions that improve efficiency.
- Map current-state vs future-state workflows.
- Architect end-to-end digital systems using multiple tools where necessary.
- Define system requirements, user roles, permissions, governance, and workflows.
- Recommend buy-vs-build decisions.
Software Customisation & Implementation
- Configure enterprise platforms to organisational requirements.
- Customize workflows, forms, dashboards, automations, notifications, templates, and reporting structures.
- Coordinate data migration, system setup, and deployment.
- Lead rollouts of new tools across departments.
- Ensure minimal disruption during implementation.
Integration & Automation
- Integrate multiple platforms using APIs, Zapier, Make, Power Automate, or native connectors.
- Build automated workflows that reduce manual work.
- Improve data flow across systems.
- Eliminate duplicate processes and disconnected tools.
User Training & Change Management
- Train staff on newly deployed software and digital systems.
- Create SOPs, manuals, quick guides, and training videos.
- Run onboarding sessions for new users.
- Improve user adoption across teams.
- Provide post-launch support and troubleshooting.
Governance, Security & Compliance
- Ensure software solutions meet security and access control standards.
- Maintain backup, audit trail, and permission structures.
- Support compliance with company policies and data privacy requirements.
- Monitor software licensing and usage.
Continuous Improvement
- Review current systems regularly and recommend upgrades.
- Track ROI and efficiency gains from technology investments.
- Identify opportunities to replace outdated tools.
- Drive digital transformation initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business Technology, or related field.
- Experience in Backend development compulsory and leadership experience.
- 7+ years experience in Solutions Architecture, Backend Development, IT Transformation, Enterprise Applications, or Technology Consulting.
- Strong experience evaluating and implementing enterprise software.
- Practical knowledge of SaaS ecosystems and business platforms.
- Experience configuring systems without heavy coding dependency.
- Strong understanding of business operations and workflow design.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to train non-technical teams effectively.
- Stand-alone project experience is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications in cloud or enterprise platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, Oracle,KCNA etc.).
- Experience with ERP, CRM, HRIS, BI, workflow automation, and collaboration tools.
- Experience with API integrations and low-code/no-code tools.
- PMP, Agile, Scrum, ITIL, TOGAF, or similar certifications are an advantage.
- Experience in multi-entity or fast-growth organisations.
