In this central role, you will be the technical driver for automation, DevOps, and AI-related projects. You will analyze requirements, develop robust solution architectures, and support project teams in implementation. You will work closely with engineering, project management, account management, customers, and of course, your Automation / DevOps / AI department, and have a lot of creative freedom.

What you do with us:

• You conceptualize modern architectures for DevOps, Automation, Linux, and Open Source solutions. You develop technical target images, evaluate existing environments, and derive concrete roadmaps and implementation steps.
• In customer projects, you take responsibility for technical designs, platform concepts, automation strategies, and integration architectures. You work closely with engineering teams and support the implementation of solutions around Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, container platforms, configuration management, monitoring, observability, and operational automation.
• Together with account management and team leadership, you support technical pre-sales. You gather customer requirements, develop solution sketches, evaluate efforts, and help to create technically convincing proposals.
• An important part of your role is the further development of AI use cases and automation tools. You identify potential for how AI can be meaningfully used in customer projects or internal processes – for example, to increase efficiency, support operations, prepare knowledge, or enable intelligent automation.
• You are welcome to contribute standards, best practices, and architectural principles to the department and help build reusable components, templates, and reference architectures.

Who we are looking for:

• You have extensive experience in DevOps, Automation, Linux, Open Source, cloud-native infrastructure, or platform engineering and have already developed technical concepts or architectures for customer or corporate environments.
• You are familiar with automation and DevOps technologies such as Ansible, Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Argo CD, Helm, Python, Shell Scripting, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/OpenSearch, or comparable tools.
• You can analyze, structure, and translate complex technical requirements into realistic solution architectures.
• You communicate confidently with technical and non-technical stakeholders and can clearly justify architectural decisions.
• Experience with AI-powered automation, AI tools, generative AI, MLOps, or intelligent operational processes is a plus. The crucial factor is that you are open to new technologies and can realistically translate them into viable solutions.
