Solution Architect (General Insurance, Property, Casualty)

Introduction

The Solution Architect defines and governs the technical architecture for P&C insurance ecosystems. Working from inputs provided by Business Analysts and Solution Designers, the architect ensures technical coherence, resilience, and scalability across PAS, billing, claims, finance, and reporting platforms

Duties & Responsibilities • Own end‑to‑end technical architecture (logical, physical, runtime). • Define integration topology and detailed flows across PAS, billing, claims, finance, CRM, and data warehouse. • Govern API and event contracts, canonical payloads, and transformation mappings. • Design security architecture (IAM, encryption, audit trails). • Define cloud‑independent infrastructure patterns (containerization, IaC, HA/DR). • Establish CI/CD pipelines, release strategies, and observability baselines. • Review and approve technical designs, ensuring alignment with architecture principles.

Desired Experience & Qualification • National Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field. • Post Graduate or Masters Degree in related field will be advantageous. • 10+ years in enterprise solution architecture, with focus on P&C PAS ecosystems. • Expertise in distributed systems, API‑first architectures, event‑driven integration, and cloud‑native deployments. • Strong knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD, and resilience engineering. • Implementation of Guidewire, Duck Creek, OneShield, or Insurity platforms. • Consulting or system integration background in general insurance and P&C.
