Due to positive business development, we are looking for a SOLUTION ARCHITECT – TELCO & CARRIER-GRADE SYSTEMS (m/f/d) as soon as possible.

(Hybrid working, full-time, HQ Vienna)

Your Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the architecture and design of highly available, high-performance, security-critical, “Carrier-Grade” communication systems including server, network, and database architectures in virtualized environments, based on ETSI and 3GPP standards, as well as documentation.
• Design and implementation of security concepts (Security by Design)
• Analysis and transformation of 3GPP and ETSI standards as well as customer requirements into implementable technical specifications for software development teams
• Technical leadership, coaching, and mentoring of software engineering teams throughout the entire software development lifecycle
• Willingness to solve implementation challenges together with the development team (hands-on mentality)
• Close collaboration with customers, product management, and international development teams across all project phases
• Representation of the company in standardization and industry bodies

Your Profile:

• Completed technical education in computer science, telecommunications engineering, or telecommunications.
• In-depth knowledge of 3GPP and ETSI telecommunications standards, MCx, and FRMCS know-how as a plus.
• Senior System / Software Architect with several years of hands-on experience in complex carrier-grade telecommunications systems across all project phases using state-of-the-art technologies and tools.
• Several years of work experience as a Senior Developer in OOP languages such as C++, Java, Go, as well as CI and DevOps.
• Open to new technologies like AI-based development.
• Very good knowledge and experience with Tetra, GSM, GSM-R, 4G/5G networks, PSTN and Telco infrastructures, cloud environments, network infrastructures, hypervisors.
• Good knowledge of common network protocols (SIP, VoIP, MCx, TCP/UDP IP, NTP, SNMP, RTP/RTCP, RTSP), STUN.
• Strong awareness and knowledge of security topics (OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, AAA, Firewalls, IPSec, OVPN, KMS, CRA/NIS-2) as well as licensing topics / SBOM.
• Domain know-how in the area of rail / Rail or Public Safety is an advantage.
• Fluent in German and English, open to collaboration in an international environment.

Your annual salary is around €95,000 gross/year, depending on the position. Your actual annual target income will be determined on a market-based basis according to your qualifications and experience.
