Solution Architect

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect to support the Nexus GT (Global Technology) ecosystem at Lululemon. This role will be responsible for designing scalable, integrated, and resilient technology solutions that power core retail, e-commerce, and enterprise platforms.

You will partner with engineering, product, and business teams to translate strategic initiatives into robust technical architectures, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards and long-term scalability.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and deliver end-to-end solution architectures across retail and digital platforms
• Translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and high-performing technical solutions
• Define integration strategies across systems (APIs, event-driven architecture, middleware)
• Lead architecture for microservices and cloud-native applications
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure design consistency and implementation alignment
• Drive adoption of best practices in architecture, security, and performance
• Support modernization of legacy systems into cloud-based, distributed architectures
• Partner with stakeholders to define roadmaps and technology strategies
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies and platforms
• Ensure solutions meet performance, scalability, and reliability standards
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams

Required Qualifications

• 8–12+ years of experience in software engineering or solution architecture
• Proven experience as a Solution Architect or Senior Technical Lead
• Strong experience with microservices architecture and distributed systems
• Proficiency in Java, Node.js, or similar backend technologies
• Experience with API design and integration patterns (REST, GraphQL, event-driven systems)
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform)
• Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Strong understanding of system design, scalability, and performance optimization
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in retail, e-commerce, or consumer-facing platforms
• Knowledge of headless commerce and omnichannel architectures
• Experience with event streaming platforms (Kafka, RabbitMQ)
• Familiarity with frontend technologies (React, Next.js)
• Exposure to data platforms and analytics integrations
• Experience with enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF or similar)
• Understanding of security best practices and compliance standards
