Solution Architect (OSS Advisory)

Introduction

We are seeking a highly skilled Solution Architect to provide expert advisory support across our OSS (Operational Support Systems) landscape. This role is focused on architecture discovery, assurance, and governance, ensuring that OSS systems and integrations remain aligned with strategic objectives. The position is advisory in nature, with no building or implementation responsibilities.

Duties & Responsibilities • Conduct comprehensive OSS architecture discovery. • Establish and document the current-state baseline across systems and integrations. • Define non-impacted architecture zones, guardrails, and no-touch boundaries. • Ensure architectural integrity is preserved across initiatives. • Map dependencies across OSS systems, platforms, and integrations. • Identify potential risks and interdependencies impacting parallel initiatives. • Provide continuous architecture assurance and advisory support. • Review designs and proposals to ensure compliance with established guardrails. • Actively participate in architecture forums and governance boards. • Provide design assurance and expert input into solution proposals. • Serve strictly in an advisory capacity, with no building or implementation responsibilities. • Guide stakeholders and project teams with best practices and architectural insights.

Desired Experience & Qualification • 10+ years’ experience in telecommunications OSS environments, with at least 5 years' operating in a senior or lead Solution / Domain Architecture role. • Proven experience conducting enterprise-scale architecture discovery, dependency mapping, and architectural assurance. • Deep understanding of OSS domains including provisioning, inventory, orchestration, assurance, and integration layers. • Strong experience operating within architecture governance forums, design assurance boards, and change control structures. • Demonstrated ability to act as an independent architecture authority, providing guidance and assurance without direct implementation responsibility. • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with experience advising senior technology and delivery leadership.
