Solution Architect | Systems Architect – IoT & Embedded Systems

About the Role

In this position, you translate business and customer requirements into clear technical solutions. You collaborate closely with product management, commercial teams, and global engineering groups (NL, India, Germany, US), while coordinating development with external software engineering partners.

You understand backend structures, electronic system architecture, and how hardware, firmware, software, and cloud services connect. You advise, guide, and ensure that concepts become actual products and successfully reach the market.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the technical point of contact for hardware, firmware, and software topics
• Translate commercial requirements into actionable technical solutions
• Lead conceptual development for Electronics & IoT systems from idea to launch
• Introduce relevant technologies and encourage teams to think innovatively
• Coordinate software development with external engineering partners
• Collaborate with global engineering teams (India, Germany, US)
• Create and review architectural diagrams, block schemes, and technical documentation
• Support manufacturing teams with technical questions and validation
• Ensure integration with cloud platforms, apps, and backend systems
• Shape future product and system architecture
• Communicate technical topics clearly to non‑technical stakeholders

Your Profile

You are a senior engineer with broad experience across embedded software, electronics, and architecture. You operate independently, influence technical direction, and act as the link between commercial and technical environments.

• At least 5 years of experience in complex product engineering
• Experience taking ideas from concept to implementation
• Embedded programming skills (Python/C/C++)
• Object‑oriented programming knowledge
• Experience with wireless protocols (Bluetooth, NFC, WiFi, ANT+, Matter, Z‑Wave)
• Experience with telecom protocols (GPRS, LTE‑M, NB‑IoT)
• Experience with wired communication (CAN‑bus, LIN‑bus)
• Familiar with Agile, model‑driven design and test‑driven automation
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Excellent command of English (Dutch is a plus)
• Independent, proactive, results‑driven

Preferred

• Knowledge of electronics manufacturing
• Understanding of IoT platforms (APIs, TCP/IP, networks, apps/web)
• Understanding of electro‑mechanical components and mechanical engineering

Education

• Bachelor or Master in Electronics, Computer Science or Software Engineering

What You Can Expect
