Senior Solution Designer/Architect

About Our Client

Our client, a leading Canadian owned Insurance Company located in Guelph, is seeking a Senior Solution Designer/Architect with hands-on Guidewire experience.

Responsibilities

• Understands the architectural direction and standards of the organization and helps to ensure that the team adheres to them appropriately.
• Understands existing enterprise assets such as frameworks, patterns, subsystems and ensures that the team uses them where appropriate.
• Ensures that the solution will be easy to support by encouraging good design and refactoring to minimize technical debt.
• Ensures that the solution is integrated and tested on a regular basis, ideally via the practice of continuous integration (CI).
• Owns the technical architecture and design decisions for the team and who facilitates the creation and evolution of the overall solution design.

Must have

• Designing solutions based on Guidewire PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter and BillingCenter
• Performs the creation and evolution of the technical design
• Mentors and coaches other team members in architecture practices and challenging technical issues.
