Job Description
Trilyon is seeking an experienced Solutions Engineer, Principal with extensive expertise in ransomware recovery governance, cybersecurity resilience, and enterprise recovery operations. The Solutions Engineer, Principal will play a critical role in operationalizing ransomware recovery programs, improving cyber recovery processes, and strengthening enterprise preparedness against ransomware threats.
The Solutions Engineer, Principal will collaborate with cybersecurity, infrastructure, risk management, and operations teams to develop and maintain ransomware recovery governance processes, incident response procedures, and recovery validation strategies. The ideal Solutions Engineer, Principal should possess strong expertise in ransomware resilience, recovery testing, security governance frameworks, and cyber recovery program management. Candidate must reside in California.
Responsibilities
- Mature and operationalize the ransomware recovery governance program through hands‑on process development, technical validation, and continuous improvement.
- Enforce ransomware recovery maintenance policies, ensuring consistent application of required controls and procedures.
- Coordinate and oversee all testing activities for protected applications, including readiness checks, recovery validation, and documentation of results.
- Design and implement the application review and onboarding process, including technical assessments and control verification.
- Develop and formalize the decision authority framework to clarify roles, responsibilities, and escalation paths.
- Partner in the development of the ransomware incident response plan and lead technical exercises, simulations, and tabletop activities.
- Contribute to future‑state technology assessments and strategic evaluations related to ransomware resilience and cyber recovery.
- Review and enhance existing security policies and standards, backup and recovery strategies, risk management processes, and roles and responsibilities (RACI).
- Assess and remediate gaps across ransomware preparedness in the areas of technology, processes, and people.
- Deliver a comprehensive current‑state ransomware preparedness assessment within 30 days.
- Develop and maintain a ransomware risk heat map with ongoing updates.
- Support the creation of training curriculum for operations and support teams.
- Develop executive‑level presentations and reporting materials summarizing risks, findings, and progress.
- Establish and maintain a cyber recovery tracking repository and reporting dashboard.
Qualifications
- Experience in cybersecurity governance, ransomware preparedness, disaster recovery, NIST frameworks, security controls implementation, and cyber resilience strategy.
- Strong expertise in ransomware resilience, recovery testing, security governance frameworks, and cyber recovery program management.
- Candidate must reside in California.
