Company's AI platform (often referred to as the AI Factory) is a locally hosted, enterprise-grade AI platform and ecosystem designed to accelerate how South African businesses adopt and scale artificial intelligence. It combines high-performance infrastructure, curated models, and services to help organisations build, integrate, and deploy AI solutions quickly and securely. The platform is powered by NVIDIA AI technology and hosted in local AI-ready data centres, ensuring compliance with South African regulatory and data sovereignty requirements, a key differentiator for enterprises navigating global AI adoption.

It enables both:

• Enterprise consumption of AI services (AI-as-a-Service, on-demand models and capabilities)
• Organisation-specific AI development (proprietary model development, integration, and scaling) This blended approach means the execution teams will operate within a governed, supported, and scalable AI delivery ecosystem, consuming approved models and infrastructure while integrating solutions that deliver real value.

The platform emphasises:

• Data sovereignty and regulatory alignment, with data and compute hosted in South African jurisdictions compliant with local laws.
• Scalable AI infrastructure, including accelerated computing and curated AI models.
• Consulting and managed services support, backed by certified AI expertise.

Role Purpose

To Define scalable, secure, and cost-efficient architectures for AI solutions aligned to AI Hosting standards.

Key Responsibilities

• End-to-end solution architecture design
• Translate AI Hosting standards into deployable architectures
• Infrastructure sizing and cost modelling
• Security and compliance alignment
• Technical governance within delivery
• Design authority during implementation

Qualifications, Experience & Skills

Educational Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related
• Strong Engineering Capability

Professional Certifications (if applicable)

Experience

• 8+ years in solution architecture
• Cloud architecture expertise and certification is advantageous
• Enterprise integration experience
• Experience operationalising AI solutions
• Cost optimisation capability
• 5-7 years total; 1+ years in AI-enabled architectures preferred.
• 3-6 years software engineering; AI integration experience preferred.
