For our client in the energy sector, we are looking for an experienced Solution Architect (m/f/d) who analyzes end-to-end trading processes in energy trading, defines target architectures and further develops complex system and application landscapes.

In this role, you will operate at the interface between business (Energy Trading) and IT and will play a key role in shaping the future trading system landscape (ETRM).

Your future tasks:

• Analysis and documentation of the existing system and application landscape in energy trading
• Conception and definition of target architectures within the framework of system integration, consolidation and transformation programs.
• Architectural design for end-to-end energy trading processes (trade capture, scheduling, risk, settlement)
• Advising specialist departments and IT teams on the selection, integration, and further development of
• Trading systems or ETRM platforms
• Support in the integration of trading organizations after M&A or organizational consolidation
• Creation of architectural blueprints, guidelines, and decision-making templates for management.
• Ensuring architectural governance and compliance with IT and security standards

Your profile:

• At least 5 years of experience as a Solution Architect, IT Architect or Enterprise Architect
• Experience in energy trading or trading on the energy market (electricity, gas, etc.)
• Solid understanding of end-to-end trading processes: trade capture, scheduling, risk/position management, valuation, reporting, settlement/clearance.
• Several years of experience with trading systems or ETRM platforms (e.g. Endur, Allegro, Openlink or similar)
• Experience in analyzing complex system and application landscapes as well as in identifying optimization and consolidation potentials.
• Experience in defining target architectures in the context of system integration, consolidation, or transformation
• Experience in the context of M&A or organizational integration is an advantage.
• Strong conceptual skills and the ability to communicate complex issues in an understandable way.
• Team-oriented personality with strong consulting and implementation skills

• German: fluent in both spoken and written German
• English: fluent in spoken and written language
