About the role

About End-to-end architecture and integration

  • Define target state, interim state, and migration approach; make explicit tradeoffs (cost, risk, complexity, time-to-deliver).
  • Design integration patterns (APIs, events/streams, batch) and ensure consistency of business rules and data flows across systems.

Non-functional requirements (auditability, scalability, resiliency, maintainability)

  • Translate business goals into non-functional requirements and architecture guardrails (SLOs, DR posture, data retention, security).
  • Ensure designs support auditability and traceability
  • Design for scalability and resiliency with clear failure modes, graceful degradation, and operational readiness plans.
  • Promote maintainability via standards, documentation, and reference architectures.

Data, databases, and reporting

  • Partner with database and engineering teams on data modeling, MySQL/Oracle strategy, and safe schema evolution.
  • Ensure reporting needs are addressed (metric definitions, data lineage, reconciliations, and query execution patterns) without compromising transactional performance.

Execution and governance

  • Lead architecture reviews and provide durable artifacts (diagrams, ADRs, interface contracts, runbooks, validation checklists).
  • Identify risks and dependencies early and drive mitigation plans.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Required qualifications

  • Experience producing solution architectures for enterprise systems, including integration and data flow designs.
  • Demonstrated ownership of non-functional requirements (auditability, scalability, resiliency, maintainability).
