Solution Architect – IT Service Management

As a Solution Architect within IT Service Management (ITSM), you are responsible for designing and maintaining the architectural blueprint for ITSM tooling, integrations, and data flows. You play a key role in translating business requirements into scalable, compliant, and future‑proof solutions, directly contributing to large‑scale digital transformation initiatives.

This role is highly focused on
• requirements, architecture delivery, and project execution. You act as the bridge between business and IT, ensuring that functional needs are effectively translated into concrete architectural designs and successfully implemented by engineering teams.
• Key Responsibilities

Architecture & Delivery

• Design and maintain end‑to‑end ITSM architecture across tooling, integrations, and data layers
• Create Project Start Architectures (PSAs) and detailed solution designs for new initiatives
• Translate business and functional requirements into scalable, secure, and compliant architectures
• Define and contribute to architectural standards, principles, and domain roadmaps
• Ensure solutions meet audit, compliance, and regulatory requirements by design

ITSM Platform & Data

• Drive the evolution of the ITSM landscape, including modern SaaS platforms and API‑driven architectures
• Design and govern integrations between ITSM tooling and enterprise systems via API layers
• Oversee CMDB architecture, including data modeling, federation strategies, and data quality governance
• Ensure reliable and scalable data flows across multiple systems and domains

Project & Team Enablement

• Guide DevOps and engineering teams in implementing architectural solutions
• Act as the primary point of contact for architectural decisions within ITSM‑related projects
• Ensure alignment between delivery teams and target architecture
• Support and mentor teams throughout the full delivery lifecycle

Stakeholder & Governance

• Work closely with product owners, technical leads, and business stakeholders to align priorities
• Balance business requirements, technical feasibility, and operational sustainability
• Communicate architectural decisions, trade‑offs, and roadmaps clearly to stakeholders
• Ensure governance and consistency across multiple concurrent initiatives

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant experience, including roles in solution architecture, IT service delivery, or business analysis within complex enterprise environments
• Strong expertise in IT Service Management (ITSM) and ITIL practices
• Proven experience with modern ITSM platforms (SaaS and/or on‑premise) and platform migrations or transformations
• Experience designing API‑first architectures, including REST standards, versioning, security, and observability
• Strong knowledge of CMDB design, including configuration items (CIs), relationships, and data governance models
• Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms (preferably Microsoft Azure), including:
  • Integration services (API Management, Functions/App Services, messaging services)
  • Data platforms (Data Lake, Data Factory, analytics solutions)
  • Security concepts (identity management, access control, secrets management)
• Ability to translate complex business requirements into clear architectural designs and roadmaps
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills in multi‑team, multi‑domain environments
