Essential Skills

• Strong understanding of enterprise networking fundamentals, routing, and firewall security architectures
• Deep troubleshooting skills across systems, networks, and applications (handling complex, multi-layered issues)
• Solid programming skills (Python preferred)
• Experience building integrations with APIs, databases, and network devices
• Experience delivering and maintaining complex software solutions, including custom extensions and automation
• Hands-on operations experience: patching, monitoring, log analysis, performance optimization
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, scripting, and automation frameworks
• Exposure to enterprise governance processes (incident, change, problem management)

Advantageous Skills

• Experience with firewall rule management platforms (Tufin preferred)
• Strong Linux experience and additional scripting (Bash, JavaScript, etc.)
• Experience with containers (Docker/Kubernetes)
• Experience coordinating work with external service providers
• Ability to analyse complex environments and propose improvements and automation opportunities
• Strong communication skills (simplifying technical topics for non-technical stakeholders)
• Agile methodologies and release management experience

Role & Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and enhance the firewall rule management platform (commercial and custom-built components)
• Develop platform components, integrations, and automation workflows (Python, APIs, database queries, etc.)
• Perform complex troubleshooting across networking, application logic, and system components
• Coordinate, delegate, and technically guide external providers
• Ensure platform stability through patching, monitoring, performance tuning, and proactive risk identification
• Prepare environments and perform go-live activities, including post-deployment support
• Maintain high-quality documentation (technical specs, procedures, training material)
• Participate in problem, change, and incident management processes
• Engage with users and stakeholders (including international teams) as technical owner
• Participate in standby, shift, and after-hours operational activities when required
• Travel internationally for up to two weeks at a time when needed
• Implement and maintain internal controls aligned with policies and procedures
• Remain flexible in taking on different tasks within the project or environment

Qualifications & Experience

• Relevant technical degree (Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, etc.) or equivalent
• Strong candidates with diplomas will be considered with proven hands-on experience
• 5+ years’ experience in complex technical environments
• Demonstrated hands-on capability through real-world problem solving and technical delivery
