Senior, Market-Facing Technical Leader

Position Summary:

Aleut Federal is seeking a senior, market-facing technical leader specializing in enterprise data architecture, analytics platforms, and data-driven solutions across U.S. federal environments.

This role spans the full lifecycle, including opportunity shaping, solutioning, capture, proposal development, pricing, and delivery assurance.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on data architect capable of designing scalable data ecosystems, enabling analytics and AI use cases, and translating data capabilities into mission outcomes.

Core Responsibilities

Growth, Sales Engineering & Solutioning

• Lead technical solutioning for federal opportunities involving enterprise data architecture, data platforms, analytics, and integration.
• Directly influence and help drive technical wins by defining differentiators, leading customer discussions and architecture sessions, and translating data capabilities into mission, reporting, and decision outcomes.
• Partner with Business Development and Capture to shape opportunities and present and defend data architecture approaches.

AI-Enabled Engineering (Required)

• Aleut Federal expects AI to be enabled through strong data architecture and governed data foundations.
• Design data architectures that support AI/ML, retrieval workflows, analytics, and operational decision support.
• Support data preparation, feature engineering, lineage, access control, and observability needed for production-grade AI use cases.
• Required: experience enabling AI or advanced analytics through enterprise data architecture. Strongly preferred for Senior Principal: delivered data platforms that directly support production AI systems with measurable outcomes.
• Ensure data used by AI systems is secure, governed, and compliant with federal requirements.

Capture, Proposal & Pricing

• Lead and contribute to technical proposal development for data opportunities.
• Author and own complete technical sections, including data architecture, ingestion and integration model, governance approach, and analytics enablement.
• Build BOEs aligned to platform scale, integration effort, and operational complexity.
• Ensure solutions are executable, differentiated, and aligned to mission needs.

Delivery Assurance & Technical QA

• Ensure alignment between proposed and delivered data solutions.
• Provide technical oversight during architecture, integration, and implementation phases.
• Identify and mitigate risks related to data quality, lineage, integration complexity, governance, and platform performance.

Technical Marketing, Thought Leadership & Industry Engagement

• Develop data and analytics solution briefs, capability messaging, and reference patterns.
• Actively participate in customer briefings, industry events, and technical forums and be willing to speak on enterprise data strategy, analytics, and AI enablement.
• Position Aleut Federal as a credible enterprise data and analytics partner.

Required Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship (U.S. Citizens only).
• 7+ years of U.S. federal experience with a Bachelor's degree.
• Hands-on experience in enterprise data architecture and platform design.
• Experience with data integration, analytics enablement, and technical solutioning and proposal development.
• Ability to obtain a Position of Public Trust.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Databricks, Snowflake, or similar platforms.
• Experience with federal data programs and AI/ML data pipelines.
• Experience with lakehouse, warehouse, and hybrid data architectures.
• Active Top Secret clearance.

Certifications (Desired, Representative of Level)

• AWS Data Analytics Specialty
• Azure Data Engineer Associate
• Databricks certification

Salary Range:

$150,000-$225,000
