Solutions Engineer – U.S. Public Sector

Arango

Washington · On-site Full-time Mid Level Today

About the role

About Arango

At Arango, we believe the first generation of enterprise AI missed something essential: Context. For the U.S. Public Sector, accuracy isn't just a metric—it’s mission-critical. LLM models are powerful, but without the right data foundation, they lack the context needed to provide actionable intelligence.

Arango provides a trusted data foundation for the next wave of U.S. Public Sector AI with graph-based Contextual AI. We transform disparate data into a System of Context that truly represents the operational environment, enabling Intelligence Analysts and Warfighters to achieve superior outcomes with unlimited scale and security.

The Arango AI Data Platform unifies graph, vector, document, and key-value data into a single, integrated environment. Trusted by the U.S. Air Force, NIH, NVIDIA, and HPE, Arango powers the bridge between raw enterprise data and secure LLMs. We are proud members of the NVIDIA Inception and AWS ISV Accelerate Programs.

The Mission (About the Role)

We are seeking a highly technical Solutions Engineer to join our U.S. Public Sector organization. This is a high-impact role focused on driving technical adoption across Strategic U.S. Public Sector Accounts. The ideal candidate understands that "U.S. Public Sector" isn't just a vertical—it’s a unique ecosystem with complex security requirements, air-gapped environments, and high-stakes requirements. You will serve as the technical authority, translating Arango’s "Silicon Valley" innovation into "Mission-Ready" solutions. Whether you are a transitioning military member (Cyber/Intel), a career GovCon Architect, or a Data Scientist, if you thrive on solving "no-fail" problems, we want you on the team.

  • Location: Washington, DC / Northern Virginia (NCR)
  • Clearance: Active TS/SCI Required (CI or FS Polygraph preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Architect Mission Solutions: Craft and deliver technical presentations and architecturally sound demonstrations of the Arango Platform, tailored to specific agency use cases (e.g., Target Intelligence, Fraud/Waste/Abuse, Supply Chain Risk).
  • Lead Technical Evaluations: Drive Proof of Concepts/Technology (PoCs/PoTs) within secure environments, often comparing Arango against legacy NoSQL or relational databases.
  • Build Functional Demos: Develop RAG-based AI prototypes and graph visualizations that solve real-world U.S. Public Sector data silos.
  • Technical Evangelism: Represent Arango at industry days, technical symposiums, and within the partner ecosystem (SIs and VARs) to build awareness of Contextual AI.
  • Subject Matter Expertise: Provide feedback to Product Engineering on U.S. Public Sector-specific requirements, such as SCIF-based deployments, IL5/IL6 compliance, and ATO processes.
  • Travel Estimated: 25%.

What You’ll Bring

  • Clearance: An active TS/SCI is mandatory. Candidates with a Polygraph (CI or FS) are highly encouraged to apply.
  • Educational/Military Background: Bachelor’s degree in CS, Data Science, or a related field; OR equivalent technical experience (e.g., 6+ years of specialized military technical training in Cyber, Intelligence, or Data Operations).
  • Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with Python and SQL. Familiarity with the "AI Stack" (LangChain, LlamaIndex, Vector Databases).
  • Architecture Skills: Ability to map complex mission requirements to technical solutions involving multiple components (Kubernetes, Linux, Docker).
  • U.S. Public Sector Fluency: Understanding of the U.S. Public Sector procurement lifecycle and the unique challenges of deploying software in classified or air-gapped environments.
  • Soft Skills: A "Mission-First" mentality with the interpersonal skills to brief everyone from GS-13 analysts to SES/Flag Officer leadership.

Why Join Arango

  • Impact: You aren't just selling software; you are helping modernize the U.S. Public Sector’s data landscape for the era of AI.
  • Veteran & Reservist Friendly: We value the leadership, discipline, and mission-focus of those who have served. We offer the flexibility needed for those currently in the Reserves or National Guard.
  • Elite Team: Work alongside a global team of experts in a culture that prizes excellence, autonomy, and accountability.
  • Total Rewards: Competitive compensation, uncapped variable earnings, and meaningful equity in a fast-growing category leader.
