Sourcing and Supplier Manager

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute sourcing and procurement strategies in line with business objectives
• Ensure compliance with procurement, preferential sourcing, and supply chain policies
• Identify and drive cost‑saving, demand reduction, and supply consolidation initiatives
• Manage purchasing processes to achieve price, quality, and delivery targets (OTIF)
• Negotiate contracts and agreements to optimise commercial and delivery terms
• Oversee supplier selection, qualification, performance, and risk management
• Institute and manage SLA agreements and monitor supplier performance
• Evaluate RFQs and tenders and manage sourcing for BOMs and new projects
• Analyse spend data, manage procurement budgets, and support forecasting
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and cost‑saving projects
• Develop and maintain procurement systems, reporting, and SOPs
• Lead, mentor, and manage the procurement team, including performance and succession planning

Skills & Experience

• Minimum 5–7 years’ experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supplier management
• Manufacturing environment experience - essential
• Proven people management experience
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and project management skills
• Proficiency in procurement systems - Syspro advantageous
• Ability to work under pressure and deliver against cost, quality, and delivery targets

Qualification

• NQF Level 6 National Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration OR Equivalent
• NQF Level 7 Degree in Supply Chain Management OR Equivalent – advantageous
