Requirements

• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Hold a valid driver's license.
• Be capable of carrying and using a firearm; maintaining proficiency is mandatory.
• Be between 21 and 37 years old at the time of application (age limit may vary based on federal service).
• Veterans seeking preference must receive a conditional job offer before age 40.
• Obtain and maintain a Top Secret Clearance.
• Have uncorrected vision no worse than 20/100 binocular, with corrected vision of 20/20 or better.
• Pass an audiometric hearing test (loss must not exceed 25 decibels in specified ranges).
• Undergo drug testing prior to hiring and on a random basis thereafter.
• Complete 13 weeks of training at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) in Glynco, GA, followed by 18 weeks at the James J. Rowley Training Center in Laurel, MD.
• Sign a mobility agreement for potential relocations in the U.S. and abroad.
• If male and born after December 31, 1959, certify registration with the Selective Service System or exemption.
