The Special Projects Foreman will coordinate and oversee day-to-day field activities for assigned construction projects, ensuring work is performed safely, efficiently, and to high quality standards. Responsibilities
- Oversee and lead daily on-site construction activities for assigned special projects, ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently.
- Direct and coordinate foremen, crew members, subcontractors, and suppliers to maintain workflow and productivity.
- Support project schedules and budgets by monitoring progress, identifying potential issues, and escalating concerns as needed.
- Perform routine site walkthroughs and inspections to ensure workmanship meets project specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.
- Proactively address field challenges, resolve minor delays, and assist with problem-solving to keep projects moving forward.
- Communicate daily progress, site conditions, and upcoming needs to the project management team.
- Maintain accurate daily reports, time records, and field documentation.
- Coordinate material deliveries, equipment, and manpower to ensure resources are in place to meet project demands.
Qualifications
A successful Special Projects Foreman should have:
- Proven hands-on experience leading crews and coordinating field operations for institutional focused projects in the healthcare space.
- Familiarity working with infectious control spaces.
- Experience working on projects below $1M in value.
- Strong working knowledge of construction methods, safety regulations, and applicable building codes.
- Effective leadership and communication skills to guide crews, coordinate subcontractors, and work closely with project management teams.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the flexibility to adapt to changing site conditions and project requirements.
- Solid organizational skills to manage daily priorities, coordinate multiple activities, and keep work progressing in a fast-paced environment.
