Your Role

As a Specialist Cloud Engineering (m/f/d) with DevOps responsibility, you will be part of a dedicated product team working on cloud-based payment applications. Together, you will further develop a strategically important payment platform on the AWS cloud.

Your Responsibilities

• You will be involved in the further development and operation of the AWS infrastructure for payment processes.
• You will optimize the infrastructure in terms of maintainability, reliability, and resilience.
• You will contribute your know-how to the selection of suitable services and evaluate their use based on criteria such as security, costs, and cloud portability.
• You will ensure that a highly available and automated system is created and reliably operated.
• You will enable and advise feature teams in developing, deploying, and operating their services based on the infrastructure.
• You will collect, evaluate, implement, and monitor non-functional requirements in the project's cloud-native development environment.

What We're Looking For

• You have successfully completed a university degree in computer science or a comparable field of study, or have completed training as a specialist in IT, and have several years of professional experience as a Cloud Engineer (m/f/d), preferably with DevOps responsibility, in the area of cloud-native infrastructures based on Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• You have sound experience in infrastructure security to meet high data protection requirements at the network level or when selecting appropriate services.
• You have good knowledge of common build and version control systems, CI tools, and cloud platforms (Terraform, GitLab, GIT, Docker, Python) and are open to the topic of AI.
• You are familiar with common infrastructures and architectures in the cloud-native environment.
• Initial experience with monitoring and alerting tools such as Datadog is desirable.

Learnable Skills

• You will learn in-depth payment topics as part of a targeted onboarding plan.
• You will deepen your knowledge in the area of alerting tools.
