On Specialist - Solutions Architect (Anaplan)

On is looking for an Anaplan Specialist (Anaplan Model Builder / Solution Architect) to join On at its HQ in Zurich. You will work in an environment where ideas happen fast, taking responsibility for building, maintaining, and further developing both backend and frontend of our Anaplan solutions with a main focus on Financial Planning or Supply Planning. With your proven technical expertise and understanding of enterprise planning processes, you will contribute to setting up a robust planning system environment and have great opportunities to grow in your position.

You will be part of a talented team consisting of Anaplan experts that implement features from design to deployment, being responsible for the full delivery process and continuous improvement cycles. The team encourages innovative problem‑solving, diversity of thought, and a passionate, agile mindset.

Responsibilities

• Technical ownership of planning models as Anaplan Solution Architect / Model Builder, including backend/frontend building activities and integrations to other systems and Anaplan models.
• Ownership of Anaplan initiatives and projects end‑to‑end (requirements engineering, model building, testing, go‑live support, maintenance).
• Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into value‑adding Anaplan solutions.
• Communicate technical outcomes and their consequences effectively to different stakeholders.
• Build Anaplan models in accordance with Anaplan implementation principles.
• Document and control On’s planning models to ensure they are logical and robust.
• Provide guidance and end‑user training to raise competence, awareness, and technical skills in relation to planning.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of relevant experience working with business processes, data structures, and systems.
• Proven experience in Anaplan model building; certifications are valued (Anaplan Model Builder / Solution Architect).
• Degree or good knowledge in finance, supply chain, or any other related field.
• Demonstrated analytical and problem‑solving skills with eagerness to solve business problems with technology.
• Consultancy background is a plus, with proven effective stakeholder management in a rapidly changing environment.
• Results orientation and high motivation.
• Experience with relational databases and large data structures, and/or developer knowledge in other planning/BI reporting tools (particularly Tableau or Power BI) or database query applications such as SQL.
