Genesis10 is currently seeking a Specialty Software Engineer (SmallTalk) for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Wilmington, DE, Charlotte, NC, Phoenix, AZ and Irving, TX. This is an 18+ month contract opportunity.

In this role, you will consult on and participate in moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within Specialty Software Engineering. You will contribute to large-scale planning, review and analyze complex challenges, and collaborate with team members to resolve issues and meet deliverables while leveraging a solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Consult on or participate in moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within Specialty Software Engineering
• Contribute to large-scale planning related to Specialty Software Engineering deliverables
• Review and analyze moderately complex Specialty Software Engineering challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of variable factors
• Contribute to the resolution of moderately complex issues and consult with others to meet deliverables
• Collaborate with client personnel in Specialty Software Engineering

Requirements

• 4+ years of Specialty Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work or consulting experience, training, military experience, education
• 5+ years of SmallTalk development experience
• Ability to package and deploy applications built with SmallTalk in non-production environments
• Clear understanding of OOPS techniques and design principles
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Good problem solving and analytical skills
• Detail-oriented and able to multi-task
• Demonstrated ability to learn the business quickly

Desired Skills

• Microsoft SQL Server database exposure

Compensation

Pay range: $57.81 - $65.81 per hour
