SPS-Software Engineer (m/w/d)

Role

You will develop and program customer-specific automation and machine controls in the field of special machine construction. You will work with modern PLC systems (Siemens / Beckhoff) and accompany the machines from software development through internal commissioning to final optimization. Additionally, you will contribute to the further development of the software platform and technical interface coordination within the company.

Qualifications

• Several years of experience in PLC programming in Structured Text (mandatory)
• Very good knowledge of Siemens TIA Portal and/or Beckhoff TwinCAT 3 is an advantage
• Experience in special machine construction or comparable automation environments
• Good knowledge of industrial automation and networked systems
• Very good written and spoken German and English skills

Responsibilities

• Programming of customer-specific machine controls in Structured Text (Siemens / Beckhoff)
• Performing internal commissioning and occasional customer deployments (<5%)
• Parameterization and integration of electrical components such as drives, safety systems, VPN, HMI, peripherals
• Setup, maintenance, and control of software and project documentation
• Ensuring technical know-how transfer within the organization
• Contribution to the further development of the software platform (Siemens / Beckhoff environment)
• Technical support for project management, production, and service on HW/SW topics
• Analysis and optimization of existing machine functions and automation processes
