Senior Accountant with FP&A Experience

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant with strong Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) experience to join our finance team. This role blends traditional accounting responsibilities with forward‑looking financial analysis, budgeting, and strategic support. The ideal candidate is detail oriented, analytical, and comfortable translating financial data into actionable insights for leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Perform general ledger management, including journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies.
• Support month‑end and year‑end close processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness. Specifically fixed fee revenue experience.
• Assist with external audits and provide required documentation.

Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling activities.
• Analyze financial results, variances, and trends to explain business performance.
• Develop dashboards and reporting tools to support operational and strategic decision‑making.
• Collaborate with department leaders to understand drivers of financial performance.
• Prepare scenario modeling, profitability analysis, and cost benefit assessments.

Strategic & Cross Functional Support

• Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, systems, and controls.
• Enhance reporting structures to drive business insights and efficiencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including exposure to FP&A responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and corporate accounting best practices.
• Advanced proficiency with Excel; experience with ERP systems, NetSuite is a plus.
• Ability to analyze complex data sets and present findings clearly and concisely.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams.
• Detail oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple deadlines.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with business intelligence tools (Power BI, Tableau).
• Demonstrated ability to streamline processes and implement automation.
• Comfortable working independently, with ambiguity, in a fast paced or growth oriented environment.
