Our client, a well-established, privately held Canadian industrial organization, is seeking a detail-oriented Sr. Analyst – Capital & Fixed Asset to join its finance team. With vertically integrated operations and a diversified business model, the company supports essential manufacturing and infrastructure-related activities across North America. Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth analysis around areas of impairment and idle asset review for manufacturing assets.
- Perform traditional payback and IRR calculations for capital projects.
- Provide controllership over the company's assets, ensuring proper tracking and reporting.
- Help put projects together and track project spending from a financial perspective.
- Collaborate with manufacturing directors and other internal clients to provide analytical insights into capital investments.
- Develop and improve processes for managing capital and fixed assets, moving away from manual, email-based, and Excel-heavy methods.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in capital investments, fixed asset management, and project analysis.
- Strong understanding of impairment, idle asset review, and project payback/IRR calculations.
- Experience working with large datasets and financial systems such as JDE, Power BI, and CCH Target reporting.
- Advanced Excel skills for detailed analysis and reporting.
- A CPA or similar designation is preferred
- A dynamic personality and strong teamwork skills are crucial for collaborating effectively with various stakeholders, including manufacturing directors and finance managers.
