About the role

Role Overview: As a Senior Analyst for the Strategic Finance team at Evolent Health, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Product and Technology Business Line. Your main responsibilities will revolve around financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and reporting functions. Your insights and financial analysis will drive key business decisions, working closely with Accounting, Procurement, and department heads.

Key Responsibilities: - Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure accurate recording of accruals, journal entries, and financial transactions while providing oversight of procurement activities - Maintain and update standard financial models and contribute to developing new models for strategic initiatives - Manage monthly accrual process and assist with month-end and year-end closing activities for accurate financial reporting - Support reporting and budgeting cycles with tailored insights for Technology and Product leadership, including cost center budgets, capital planning, and project-level forecasting - Track department-level performance with monthly reports, variance analysis, and forecasting - Maintain, create, automate, and enhance Adaptive Insights financial models focused on Technology and Product business area - Collaborate with other teams under the Finance umbrella for accurate forecasting and variance analyses - Support special projects such as ROI analysis for new Technology investments, Product launches, and platform enhancements

Qualifications Required: - Chartered Accountant/CPA, CMA, or Masters degree in Business Finance or equivalent experience - 3-5 years of experience in corporate finance (FP&A), investment banking, or similar role with financial modeling experience - Proactive problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently - Experience working with Accounts Payable, Accounting, and Procurement teams - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (e.g., Workday, SAP, Oracle) - Strong analytical abilities with a track record of identifying insights from financial information - Experience with FP&A tools (e.g., Hyperion, Adaptive Insights, Office Connect)
